The BA 04 Sookat Natii Drav (translating to a “giant vicious [predator species]”) is the largest Attack Battleship (equivalent to dreadnought) in service with the Qyax Star-Naval Defence Fleet. It is typical of the Qyax design paradigm.
The three GV coils at the bow of the ship have three focussing rings for the primary beam. This heavy particle beam discharges notably more yellow light than many of the smaller vessels, and is very powerful, estimated to over 10000TXq and an accuracy envelope of 430 000km.
Twenty anti-capital railgun emplacements provided the secondary armaments, though of these, four to the front and four to the rear have mutually exclusive fire arcs, so no more than sixteen can typically be brought to bear on the same target. These are high-grade XF-4 weapons, with an estimated output power of 125TXq.
Eight lazer turrets provide point-defence coverage, totalling an estimated 3920TXq of output, relatively light for a larger vessel, but the Sookat Natii Drav is rarely without its own escort. The lazers have an engagements sphere of 0.89Ym³.
The bulk of the Sookat Natii Drav’s 8.5mc acceleration is provided by four Voolot-Nhoor VN001875 engines. Two smaller Voolot-Nhoor VN001752 engines mounted more widely on the hull. These are dedicated to thrust vectoring, and it is these that contribute most to the vessel’s estimated 110 MEU manoeuvrability. This makes it an agile vessel for its size, the better to bring its primary weapon to bear.
When the Attack Battleship truly shines, however is in its heavy shielding. With over 10000TXq of shield output, and an Armour Integrity Capacity of an estimated 2800TXq, the Sookat Natii Drav can take a serious pounding. Indeed, absorbing fire its primary battlefield role. Given the potency of its primary beam, enemy vessels cannot ignore it in favour of easier targets. In this way, it draws a lot of fire from the smaller vessels.
