The SXS-13 Savior-Class Space Patrol Ship is a highly advanced space warfighter created by the Colonial Vanguard as a top of the line single person vessel to operate on The Fringe. The design itself is based on the venerable SXS Line which includes a Heavy Fighter, a Dropship, and a Corvette that all bear the same similar design pattern to give the Vanguard’s line vessels a distinctive appearance.
Each SXS-13 is equipped with a top of the line Void Drive system that allows it to traverse faster than light speeds without much of the normal risks due to unique safety mechanisms believed to have been reverse-engineered from alien technology with the aid of Papsikel’s Heavy Industries who is the primary manufacturer of these units on The Fringe.
The Savior-Class is not only capable of rapid travel across vast distances, the Savior is also extremely heavily armed for a vessel of its size including battleship-grade Light Rail Cannons that provide the fighter with immense firepower. Unlike many other vessels of this size, it has also been designed with atmospheric flight in mind and is fully capable of entering and leaving atmosphere under its own power thanks to the wing mounted booster system.
There are already rumors circulating that Papsikels Heavy Industries is working with the Vanguard Sentinels to develop a variant of the fighter, the SXS-13P which would be armed with Papranium Armor and further enhanced weaponry that would give the Vanguard a much needed firepower boost against many alien species lurking in the void.
