There are stories of something that lives in the dark waters.
A creature that does not belong to any familiar classification. Part beast, part nightmare, and entirely at home where wilderness meets water.
Descriptions of the Bunyip vary wildly. Some speak of a great beast, others of something almost humanoid. Some mention enormous teeth, webbed feet or strange limbs that resemble those of a man.
Perhaps the stories disagree because no two people who encounter the Bunyip ever see quite the same thing.
This interpretation embraces the strangest elements of those tales, combining webbed feet, enormous tusks, excessive folds of skin and powerful humanoid arms into a creature that feels as though it has crawled from some ancient Australian nightmare.
...and whatever it is, it has been here longer than you.
The Bunyip is a legendary Australian monster that I've re-imagined as a terrifying fantasy creature for tabletop RPGs.
Its unusual anatomy combines canine, seal and humanoid influences, with webbed feet, enormous tusks, heavy folds of skin and soulful eyes.
Use the Bunyip as a legendary wilderness monster, swamp-dwelling predator, guardian of ancient waters or mysterious creature lurking beneath the surface of an isolated settlement.

The locals know better than to investigate strange noises coming from the water. Adventurers rarely do. 🐊🌊
