The go-to protective topcoat for a natural, non-shiny finish. Vallejo's Polyurethane Matt Varnish seals a finished model against handling and knocks out any leftover shine, leaving that clean, flat look that reads best on tabletop miniatures. Permanent, hard-wearing and water-based.
At a glance
- Type: Polyurethane varnish
- Finish: Matt, permanent and very resistant
- Volume: 18ml dropper bottle
- Use: Brush or airbrush (0.4mm) without dilution
Why it's good
- Seals and protects finished models against wear
- Kills unwanted shine for a clean, natural matt finish
- Touch-dry in around an hour; leave 24 hours between coats; cleans up with soap and water
A single matt coat is the difference between a model that looks finished and one that still looks wet.
The essential matt seal for finished miniatures. Pair it with a gloss varnish underneath for bulletproof decal work.
