"Undead Sphinx is an animated corpse of a lion, joined together with head of a human and wings of an eagle. It's eternal duty is to guard entrance to tomb of the pharaoh. Being an aberration created in result of ancient rituals, it was deprived of the privilege to join the Rite of Passage together with rest of the court. Instead, it was left partly in the realm ofthe mortals, endowed with the eternal task of guarding the tomb and place of rebirth of the ruler. Condemned to loneliness, its only activity was to come up with riddles - and it would have no qualms about presenting them to any daredevil who dared approach his lair."
