"Scorpicon is a distant cousin of a manticore, inhabiting desert areas, where it burrows in dunes waiting for the victim. Scorpicon is an extremely aggressive creature, so the arena custodians must be very careful when handling them. If the prey is small it will use it's pincers to catch and kill but hunting for creatures even bigger than itself is no problem for the beast and it will use it's poisonous stinger to weaken and kill the victim."
