The Synkor (lit. “unseen observer”) is the primary user of the Qyax Computation’s Footprint Magnification System. The Qyax class it as a light frigate, which is roughly analogous to a standard corvette.
It is the smallest capital ship in the Qyax fleet with a crew being slightly smaller than uncrewed the DL(D) 01 Zraag and DL(D) 03 Kehtt Light Drones.
Two Voolot-Nhoor VN01750 engines give it an acceleration of 16.5mc acceleration and an a manoeuvrability/evasion unit rating of 170, which is sufficient to keep it out of trouble.
The Synkor has only a pair of XF-1 railgun for self-defence, but these have a sufficient engagement sphere to allow it to provide support to any accompanying ships.
The Synkor’s main purpose, however is to deploy its six FG8081 Decoy Projection Units. Each of these units consists of a Footprint Magnification System attached to a modified missile chassis and sufficient fuel for six to eight hours of burn time while using the FMS. The Synkor typically launches these units in GV space before re-entering normal space, and thus providing the illusions of one to six other vessels.
The FG8081 only has a limited number of options in its memory, but this can be easily updated before launch from aboard the Synkor; a task that requires crews with special training (typically digital intelligence).
The physical crew on the Synkor is small, with only a few decks for physical creatures, and the majority of the complement being digital intelligences. Given the skilled nature of these crews, the Synkor has strong shields for a vessel of its small size, rated at 450 TXq.
