The Pazkotak HAPC was the first modification of the Pazzukasst MBT hull. The Pazkotak was designed as a direct replacement for the older Kavazyn APC, bringing better protection and mobility, albeit at significantly more cost. The Pazkotak represents something of a paradigm shift for the mechanised infantry, as the Phystyulons have typically relied on faster, more lightly armoured vehicles. However, Pazzukasst’s forward hull lazer pylons and towing tractor combination, along with its excellent speed made it more mobile than the Kavazyn, despite the older vehicle technically having a higher maximum speed flat-out.
The Pazzukasst’s hull was extended upwards, providing enough headroom for six troopers. The troops embark via the rear doors. Three firing ports on each side allow the mounted troops within to fire their lazers.
As noted, the Pazkotak retains the horizontal forward pylons and towing tractor beam arrays of the Pazzukasst. The two spacial discharger launchers were moved from the turret to the forward hull.
The Pazkotak has a remote turret. The main weapon is a Phaytor triple rail gun, a miniaturised version of the ship-borne Phazra turrets. Like its larger brother, the lack of moving parts makes the Phaytor very reliable and tolerant to damage. The Phaytor is mounted on a high-track mount, allowing the full arcs of fire necessary for fighting in build-up areas. Coaxially sitting of the right of Phaytor is a small rocket pod with twelve rockets, fired in bursts of three. The left side of the turret has a single point-defence lazer pylon to round out the armament.
