The QN-1506 Fire Support Vehicle was first of the 2340s modernisation program to be fielded. It combines the most advanced ECM and sensor systems the DHZ possesses, one of the few areas where the DHZ ranks ahead of the majority of the other human powers. The QN-1506 has a dedicated drone platform for light drones to use as spotting and target acquisition, which also makes it a useful scout.
The QN-1506 is armed with a quartet QN-1502C anti-tank missiles, with a range of 12km and a powerful warhead rated to Tier 20, quite potent for its size. In addition, it carries 48 QN-1202 salvo rockets, both for anti-vehicle fire and area saturation.
As a high-value asset, the QN-1506 benefits from an omni-directional pulsed laser point-defence system. Small and unobtrusive, this system provides close-range anti-missile protection equal to that of the larger PD autocannons with but a fraction of the weight.
The QN-1506 is otherwise quite thin skinned, with its thickest front armour only rated to Tier 16 verses energy attacks and only Tier 15 against kinetic weapons.
