Deep shroud, guard of Mthulus (3 physical miniatures)

The order of the deep shroud was created to accompany and guard Mthulus. There have been many assassination attempts throughout the millennia, yet Mthulus endures on his underwtaer planet, Krathus IV, thanks to his impenetrable unit of utterly devoted bodyguard. These veterans wear an ancient type of dredge marine armour, call the ammonite pattern heavy power armour and they cover their faces in dark, tattered robes. Deep shroud dredge marines swore oaths to never part with their anchor scythes; dreaded and brutal power weapons designed to bludgeon, cut, and pierce any armour. These close combat weapons are also fitted with tide spitters, staff-mounted cannons that fire a caustic ocean sludge that melts almost anything. They are also equipped with deadly kill spikes on their forearms and since deep shroud dredge marines will never flee, they will use their kill spikes in the closest of combat to the last gurgling breath.

This set of multipart miniatures consists of 34 parts and requires assembly. You can make 3 unique deep shroud dredge marines, armed with anchor scythes. This set includes:

3 x sets of legs
3 x torso backs
3 x breast plates
3 x sets of arms
3 x anchor scythe heads
5 x shoulder pads (now compatible with the tide masters set)
2 x hand options
6 x head options (comprised of a mix of helmeted, unhelmeted, hooded and mutated including a mutated blob fish head).
3 x optional tide spitter fumes
3 x 40mm plain bases

Note that heads and bodies can be rotated, allowing you to turn them as desired, but the arms fit in set positions.

Assembly advice: We recommend you dry fit all parts before gluing, so that you can find that perfect pose, but also so that you can be sure parts will fit nicely. For example, if you turn the head too much and glue it in place, the breast plate may not fit properly. This is especially so with the mutated sea tentacle heads. Ensure you glue these heads in place while dry-fitting the breast plate.

Version 2.0 updates

- Added more corals, seaweed, starfish, barnacles, sea rust effects etc, to further emphasise the unique underwater theme of the dredge marines.
- Altered the design of the shoulderpads so they are now compatible with the tide masters set.
- Altered weapons, removing wrist-mounted tide spitters, redesigning them with a plumbing/pipe theme and incorporating them into the deep shroud’s unique relic anchor scythe design.
- Added the kill spike, onto the forearm of each dredge marine.
- Added some new underwater tentacle heads and included them onto a sprue so the parts don’t get lost.
- Added some optional fumes for the tide spitter weapons and included them onto a sprue so the parts don’t get lost.
- Altered the joints around the kneepads.
- Renamed the set to deep shroud, guard of Mthulus since these are designed to be the bodyguard of Mthulus, prime lord of the dredge.
