011A | Chaplain-Attendant Vos | ZUG 7

Clinging to skin, stinging the eyes, impossible to hold, the smoke pours from ritual lanterns. Whispered litanies thread through the trenches in a serene, suffocating haze. Where courage thins, he kneels to anoint the wounded. His presence steadies the Faithful. Where the breach falters, he plants his shield in the sanctified filth of No Man’s Land. And in the silence between bombardments, when the ground groans and fear festers, he chants the prayers only the dead remember.
