New Rust is the bright, vivid orange of freshly-formed corrosion — the kind that streaks down from a bolt after the first rain. This ultra-fine Vallejo pigment brushes on dry for lively rust highlights, or fixes with thinner and binder for built-up patches. Layered over darker rusts it gives that convincing, recently-oxidised glow that stops metalwork looking flat and lifeless.
