Many a Xygritt incursion into Qyax space has ended in an encounter with a swarm of Kehtt drones and a barrage of leech blasts, leaving the Xygritts floating and helpless.\r
\r
The Kehtt was developed from the Zraag and shares a very similar design philosophy; a drone ship either fully automated or under control of digital intelligence. The Kehtt is not armed with the Zraag’s particle beams, but instead with a quarter of leech cannons for disabling enemy vessels. The Kehtt is a low-cost, semi-disposable platform for the leech weapons and is produced in numbers that approach that of the Zraag itself.\r
\r
The Kehtt uses the same VN 01650 engines as the Zraag, and has a very similar mobility profile, with a slight loss of performance as it is a little heavier. But increased mass – and a larger power core, means that Kehtt does squeeze a little more out of its shield generators for the same mass, increasing the output to 190TXq. This extra mass makes the Kehtt technically the heaviest drone ship in regular deployment by the Star-Naval Defence Force.\r
\r
Like the Zraag, the Kehtt only mounts a pair of lazer turrets for limited anti-missile protection. It weapons payload in instead focussed on the spinal-mount leech cannons, which can output a combined total of 760TXq at an accuracy envelope of 125 500km. The Kehtt’s leech cannons are capable of penetrating shields by themselves, though if attacking more heavily shielded targets, they are often accompanied by other vessels with better shield-stripping weapons, such as the Zraags themselves.\r
\r
Kehtts are rarely deployed alone, but in packs from four to a dozen strong. As they are semi-disposable drones, they are rarely given a point-defence escort, but instead reply on their high speed and numbers to overwhelm a target.\r
\r
The highest concentration of Kehtts are deployed alongside Yr Rost Disruption Cruiser and Ky Gor Fraa Capture Cruisers near the Qyax borders where they are often instrumental in disabling and capturing ships (both raiders or those fleeing the Matriarchy with hostile elements still aboard) with as little bloodshed as possible.\r
\r
Size (Bounding Box): 31.18mm x 7.65mm x 9.24mm
