It I named for a type of winged predatory creature, analogous to a bird, so an equivalent to such as a “hawk” or “falcon.”\r
\r
The Sosok appears at first glance to be a standard one-person fighter, but this impression is erroneous. The Sosok has been designed for two crew; one physical elenthnaroid, and one digital intelligence. This give it all the advantages of a two-person crew, without the corresponding necessity to accommodate that additional pilot. This combination of skills appears to give the Sosok an edge even above what its baseline performance would indicate.\r
\r
And that baseline is indeed solid. The Sosok has admirable agility, rated at 610 MEUs and an acceleration from its paired GHT900 engines of 54.39mc.\r
\r
A solid armour skin rated to an AIC of 34TXq is covered by fighter-grade shields rated to 230 TXq and provides superior protection.\r
\r
The Sosok is armed with two 17 TXq lazer cannons in the nose and two larger 22 TXq particle beam cannons either side of the fuselage. Below the wings are hardpoints. The outer hardpoints each carry two all-aspect SO-Lotyaa 9 missiles with 3TXq-yield warheads. The inner pair each carry a pair of SO-Yatrut 14 warheads, with a 4TXq-yield warhead.\r
\r
It is projected the Standard Warhead Capacity Rating would be 2 for each outer hardpoint and 3.5 for each inner hardpoint given the missiles’ estimated size and mass.\r
\r
The Sosok possesses a GV drive, which means it can make FTL strikes from its carrier. \r
\r
Both digital and physical pilots appear to be able to operate the fighter without their counterpart, though the effectiveness of the combination is obviously reduced. In concert, the observed effectiveness of this joint crew approaches that of veteran solo Aotrs pilots, with but a fraction of the same training. The Sosok is a relatively new fighter, being less than 25 years old, so a veteran Sosok crew – perhaps with one nonorganic physical pilot – would be extremely dangerous enemy to encounter.\r
