The DHZ immediately began to develop its current generation of armoured vehicles to improve on the initial refinements made in the 2320s and early 2330s.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eThe ZTZ-342 is the newest DHZ main battle tank. DHZ procurement had to finally open it purses to equip the ZTZ-342 with a full range of modern electronics. It has significantly better armour that is predecessors, with a maximum rating of Tier 19. At limit of the DHZ’s limited investment in vehicular technology, this is still quite light for a typical human MBT.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eThe 120mm cannon has both APFSDS and HEAT rounds, and achieves a kinetic penetration of Tier 20 at half a kilometre, though drops to Tier 18 at its two kilometre limit. Mounted to the right of the main gun is a coaxial heavy machine gun.
