There he found a strange artifact, a severed demonic finger, too alive for dead flesh and too alien for this world, and in that very moment the heretics fell upon him as if they had been waiting for him to touch it. Blow after blow they drove him into a corner, and a voice sounded in his mind, calm and hungry, offering power as the only way out, and the young acolyte agreed, because he did not want to die and could not allow the cult to win.\r\u003cbr\u003eThat is the version Acolyte Gojun told the lead investigator when they found him half-dead, with the artifact inside him and demonic power spilling outward so violently that instruments screamed past their limits and the people around him reached for their weapons on instinct. From that moment he became the first and foremost suspect, because Ordo Time Linaris knows too well what truth sounds like when it has been replaced by a convenient confession. His powers proved useful to the department, helping them trace warp-taint, break seals, and see what is hidden from ordinary eyes, and while he causes no direct harm, they use him the way one uses a dangerous tool, gripping the handle and keeping the hand away from the blade.
